OUR CLASSES

HIPHOP
Many choreographers have different views on Hiphop. At Elevate, our students will learn various styles of Hiphop including street and funk, with popping, locking, house and waacking all incorporated into choreographed routines which allow our students to gain their own style and personality through the dance. Classes are taken by the talented Miss Karis who has flair for fresh choreography, is a qualified personal trainer and enjoys all things fitness! Ages 3yrs+ Book here.
Lyrical
Lyrical is a combination of jazz & ballet dance styles. The dancer performs and interprets to the lyrics of the song. Many students may take this genre as an extension class for their Acro or Jazz classes to help with technicality and performance ability. Sometimes our lyrical and contemporary classes can be co-joined for our intermediate dancers so they can grasp a feel of the genre whilst gaining knowledge, skillset and training in both lyrical and contemporary. Instructors of our Junior and Intermediate dancers are Miss Karis and Miss Rhianna. Senior instruction is taken by Miss Steph. Ages 7yrs+ Book here.
Jazz
Jazz is a hugely popular style of dance whereby students are taught the technique, leaps, turns to the latest pop music. Jazz is often referred to as a commercial style of dance. Ballet technique is at the core of our Jazz classes. This is the required dance component of our Acro Dance syllabus which works hand in hand with the syllabus, complimenting a student's training and technique. Our Jazz class instructors are Miss Karis, Miss Rhianna, Miss Sarah and Miss Steph who all have a keen eye for technicality, choreography with strength and conditioning at the forefront of all classes for beautiful dance progressions. CONTEMPORARY
This beautiful style of dance is evolving all the time. It is an interpretive dance within the choreography with raw emotition. Using a variety of technique and skillset; students will incorporate jazz, lyrical and ballet. Miss Karis and Miss Rhianna instruct our Contemporary class; both who compliment each other beautifully for progressions and skillset for our dancers. Ages 7yrs+ Book here.
